Do you people even know what bullying is? I left private school because of a bullying problem, I was bullied not only verbally, but sometimes physically, CMS is pretty normal as far as bullying goes. I found my 7th grade year there useless, but 8th grade was great. It really depends on the teachers you get how your experience will be.
A few of the teachers are excellent. Alan Hallback is an outstanding band instructor. However, most of the others teach only to the State testing mandates. They even go so far as to test the students on how well they fill in the circles on the tests! The administration mindlessly adheres to 'policy' without considering individual students' needs. They promote monthly 'virtues' without expecting the students to show these virtues or even understand what they are. I have seen a lot of unchecked bullying, both on and off school property. Unfortunately, I have to say, it is probably one of the best PUBLIC schools in the LA area.
