My son had a terrible experience at Fay Galloway. The principal is unfriendly. The Assistant principal however, is very classy and professional. Many of the teachers who have taught at Fay Galloway for years have slowly weeded out. Thank God my son is now attending a magnet school, where he is now flourishing.

Galloway is a wonderful school, that encourages parent involvement in the classroom. Many of the teachers have grown up in the same community, and are very dedicated. As far as PTA's go, I have never seen so many dedicated moms and even dads and grandparents working hard to make our school a better place. I'm grateful my kids go to a school like this.

It's not so much about Faye Galloway school because my child is doing ok for a child his age. It's the PTA that I have a problem with.

I am not overly fond of this school. I have two children who attend this school and both have reading difficulties and problems in math. Neither have received any additional help from the school after numerous requests. I have had to find outside help that is costing me a small fortune. I teach my children at home every evening, spending several hours going over what was covered in school because they don't understand their teachers. This school has numerous programs for gifted kids but if a child has problems they have nothing to help them. No afterschool tutoring of any kind, No peer help, No teachers who are willing to give extra time. I don't know what other parents do, but we are a two person working household and can not go to the school everyday to be a teachers aide, or room mother.
