I'm a student here at MSA and the school is definitely challenging to some, and to others it may be easier. MSA is one of the best arts high schools in the south other than NOCCA. This school prepares students for a college enviornment, and confronts them with real life decision making skills. As a class of 2010, I must say as I visit friends from my previous school; some of them continue their immature ways, but MSA has a the biggest affect on students. It not only prepares us for a life in the arts, but the real life experiences, performances, and staff equip us with a mind of steel.

I previously attended this school. As an arts school, it was very good, however the academics are not up to par with even the lowest of high schools in the state. I made some of the greatest friends in the world there. I came from a very bad public high school, but even there the academics were more challenging than at MSA. I wouldn't suggest this school to anyone interested in going to a major university with a selective admissions process.
Awesome - the most talented kids in the US!!! I have never seen teenagres this focused and multi-talented. They are already stars. Some of them come from very poor backgrounds and I have to ask myself - 'How did you get here? How did you get this much talent that is at a professional level when you have never been out of a small poor community? Truly amazing - they deserve support - they've earned it!!!!

I'm a student at the school, and I love it. It was a very difficult decision for me to make. Should I really leave my family and friends at the age of 16 to go live in a dorm? It's more than that. You get the college experience, although the staff keep a strict eye on you. I've thoroughly enjoyed getting to further my education in my arts discipline in a way that would not have been possible at my previous school.
