I love Central middle school. It has highly motivated and educated teachers. The kids are very nice and making friends is not a problem. The extra curricular activites are very enjoyable and this school is definitely better than point webster or any other in the district. The AP program is really challenging and for smart kids it is actually easy. So if you have a kid that is not up to it, Central has neighborhood divisions and even honor divisions. So if you are looking for a great school for your child, enroll them in Central today.
Though I have heard good and bad about Central Middle School my biggest concern is that the LAB program is based on the MCAS test, which is really geared toward teachers ability to teach not the childs ability to learn. I think that the LAB program shoud be based on the individual child, their ability in class their term reports and thirdly the MCAS can also be a factor. I also think that LAB should be offered to all middle schools throughout Quincy.
