In terms of what the school sets out to achieve, this school does an excellent job. UVC students consistently score much higher on the collegiate entrance SAT tests than students in the state of Oregon and students in general nationally. UVC students also achieve significantly higher scores on the Standford Achievement Tests both on the state and national levels. UVC is a school in which character development is critical to the overall process of education. For those students and/or parents who are not concerned about administering the discipline needed for character development, this may be one of the most troublesome aspects about the school. It is true that there are areas of improvement the school needs to make, as in all schools, but overall, a parent will not waste their money by enrolling their children at UVC. It will be a good investment of their resources with a lifetime of reward.

As of recent graduates there is not much 'elevating' of children's minds. Just basic requirements if even that. As business owners ourselves, we have found no reason to send children to this school due to lack of training for the real world. Shouldn't we appreciate the diversity in others rather than only approving of those who think alike? The opposite is taught there. As for percentages mentioned... the classes are small, therefore not an accurate comparison to other schools. I would encourage parents to look elsewhere for their children as mine will never be subjected to this form of 'education'.

UVC teaches life s foundational principles and academic excellence that many students take for granted once they enter the 'real world' of work and adulthood after they graduate from public schools. Out of my graduating class 95% went on to college and of that, 90% graduated. For those who think that UVC teaches radical idealism, keep in mind that school is not intended to discipline students. It is there to elevate a child s mind and prepare them for life s future endeavors. With the rules that UVC has in place, one can see that the crime, teen pregnancy, and drug use is virtually non-existent. It is because of the education and principles that I learned at UVC that I can attribute my success to as an OSU alumni & international representative to an Oregon based company. I would encourage parents to give their children the option of attending UVC as mine did.
