I've had children under four teachers; three were excellent, one mediocre. The school is very structured and orderly, good for children who think and act in a highly organized manner. Discipline is strict but also reasonable and restorative. There are more extracurricular programs available here than at most Christian schools, though few programs accept younger students. The better public schools trounce BJES in the variety and availability of art, sports, music, and other extracurricular programs. Parents are involved only as assistants to teachers for parties and lice check. There is no PTA, no real system of parental oversight, and no avenue for parental involvement in daily work. Academically, the school shines in handwriting, Bible, reading comprehension, and listening skills. It is comparable with good public schools in the other areas. The curriculum is neither inventive nor particularly interesting, and 'love of learning' is scoffed at here. Facts and rules are emphasized. Solid.

this is an excellent school. 3 of my 4 children attend (4th child too young). Excellent teacher/parent relationship, wonderful campus, a true A+ school

This school teaches both discipline and respect. It also maintains a superior level of academic achievement. Although some may not agree with their standards you can always know that your child will receive the highest level of academics and attention they need.
