The Exagerated dress code does not allow student to focus properly. some are sent to ISS for dress code and their whole day is wasted. i hate the rules and the strictness at that school.

I currently attend this school and I know most people are automatically going to assume 'oh she's just a student who doesn't like school' no that's not what how it is. I believe this school needs help when it comes to the curriculum and extracurriculars. They're the same every year. I'll admit there are some teachers who know what they're doing and how to help the students and I honestly felt like they cared, BUT there are the teachers who constantly catch an attitude with students if they don't get the concept of something fast enough. We ask for help and they make it worse when they explain it. Or they'll say something like 'I've gotten my education. I don't need this, you do.' Or the ever popular 'If you were paying attention you wouldn't have to ask.' when you were so obviously eyeballing the board trying to understand it all.

my children have attended different schools in liberty co. in the 8 years we have been here. i must admit that there are staff members who are concerned with the academic success of your student. however, this system is failing/struggling just as chatham county is. i rarely remember any of my children attending field trips, there isn't a strings program in place in ele. school, the art programs seem to be non-existent && unless you're a member of the PTO/appear at the school 2-5 dys wkly/know someone personally at the school, you won't find much assistance as a parent. look at the spelling of some of the previous students? in ele., 20% of the reading grade was based on how fast the student could read? i can read a DIY auto-repair manual quickly, but does it mean i understand the material? be wise, hire a tutor! ~Sunshyne~
High School is suppose to be one of the best highlights of your light. However, at Liberty County H.S. There are no incentives for academic excellence, nor activities for the students to be enthused about. Yes there are orgainizations but nothing motivating. The Administration needs to come up with programs for the the students to enjoy to enrich the student body. I would personally volunteer to spearhead a Parent Advisory Committee to begin stirring up the pot that has been settling over the years to allowing the students at Liberty Cnty HS an opportunity to enjoy the academic experience as well as the spirit of HS pride.
