Grace Christian has always been a good school from the Elementary perspective, yet once a child reaches around the 6th grade level, the school cannot offer what other schools can. I appreciate the positive Christian environment, yet that should not be the main focus of everything in the school. Grace Christian should strive to increase education and the hiring of well-qualified and certified teachers for all ages. The school also lacks a well-rounded nature as it strives to 'protect' students from the 'real world' and does not expose them to what they will face once graduation hits. This institution should rethink their priorities and focus on educating its students more thoroughly in ways that will prepare them to be successful individuals in the world.
My child has attend Grace for the past 2 years. This year I feel that my child has not been challenged enough. Her teacher seems to be only interested in the students that make A's. A's are rewarded while other grades are not. My child feels pressured to make an A and that is not fair to single out the students that make A's and makes other children feel bad. I do not think my child's teacher has taken enough time to motivate my child and they spend more time doing art work than academics. I have found another school to send my child next year. If you are looking for a school to motivate and challenge your child, I would advise you that this is not the school for you.
