A a former laurel valley middle/high student i would like to say in complete honesty that this school is horrible. I chose to transfer for a better education. Teachers at lv do not teach students for success in college and in life but rather toward standard tests to improve the rating of the school. This is reason to shut down the school and merge with the ligonier. It is well understood from mynd that there will be problems with this merge due to the rivalry between the schools this rivalry had begun to die out.I would also like to say laurel valley's core subject are weak and are taught no where near as well as other public or private schools. Anyone considering sending thier child to this school should be ready to send their child to community college and they should be perpared to work for minimume wage job.

Teachers are more like friends. They make it fun, but minimal teaching is done. They just want to get us graduated and out of their hair. Don't get me wrong, there are a few good teachers that know what their doing, but that's it. Discipline isn't taught well. If you are looking into going to another school, look into Ligonier's school or go across the river to United. You'll be much better off.
I was a student at LV and honestly it was one of the bests schools because the teachers took care of meeting each students need best to thuier ability and the interaction between the students is great. They taught me as a student to always strive ot be the best i could be and many friendships and memories were made there that i could never forget. They gave us alll an opportunity to show what we got if we wanted to but even if we didnt they tried thier best o adapt many wasy to accompany the student themselves. >LV always hasd a plave in my heart..
