East Bay High School

Pretty average school. It has a few very bad teachers, and a few very good ones, but most are somewhere in between. As far as the administration goes, it could be a lot better. East Bay tends to have a reputation for being a 'ghetto school.' One year at a cheerleading competition, a few cheerleaders from an opposing school asked one of East Bay's cheerleaders if it was really a 'ghetto' school. That's East Bay's reputation.

As a parent of a graduate from East Bay and a Senior getting ready for graduation from East Bay, I can say that it has been an excellent school as far as the education my children have both received. Sometimes the office staff can be a bit challenging, but for the most part I am very happy with the programs offered and the excellent care that was given to each of my students individually. You don't see this in a lot of public schools anymore....

Having graduated from East Bay I can truly say that it gets a bad reputation in the county that it does NOT deserve! The teachers are amazing and really get excited about their subjects! The choral program is the best! When I was in the program we constantly got superior ratings at state competitions. Also, the AP and honors courses offered at East Bay are top-notch and really prepare you for what to expect in college. Now that I have graduated and am going to school to become a teacher I have subed throughout Hillsborough county and can say, with much experience, that East Bay High School is one of the best in the county! Parents would not believe what goes on at other schools.
