Central Park Elementary has made many changes within the last year. The campus is beautiful. New teachers are in the school and the atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. There is a new principal and things do seem a little hectic, but you can see progress taking place. It is nice to walk into a school that wants you there and Central Park is that place.

A lot has changed at this school in the past school year. Administration has changed. The old principal is now at the School Board and the assistant principal took over her place. The entire air of the school is different now. Before, everyone loved just being there. You could tell and feel it when you walked in. Now things are disorganized. You can look at the teachers faces and tell that they aren't happy anymore. There just seems mass confusion all the time now. Some of the older staff is trying there best to keep it going strong up there, but things aren't looking good from where I stand. I've talked to other parents and we all agree - They need Mrs. Mitchell back.

My daughter attended anoher school her first 3 years she was tested evaluated the whole nine yards they said she was special ed material but then a miracle happened we came to central park she excelled! she is now in junior high and a honor student in math and english. I know its because of the amazing teachers and faculty staff that she built her self esteem up and continues to excel in school. Thank you central park you are the shining example of what education is supposed to be!

I loved their pre-k program. I spent a lot of time in the class room and it is amazing how fun they make learning. My child learned alot and she learned it by singing, dancing, and always playing new games. The teachers had the patients of a saint. It was amazing! I could never put up with the stuff they did. They got the kids to mind though. I loved that they had an open door policy so I got a chance to go and see what her day consisted of. The teachers were alwys nice and very honest. My child will be going to another school next year and I hope they are as open door as this school. My child learned so much she is starting to spell and read already and she just got out of pre-k. She can count to 50, knows her alphabet and most of their sounds, can add and subtract in 0-10 numbers, knows all of her shapes and colors, and she can sound out most words to spell and vice versa. It was great but a staff member said they 'hoped she didn't go there next year'. The counselor was also wonderfull if not overworked. She never had time to do her job counseling because they had her running 99.5% of every function the school did. They need to delegate those jobs to different people that way everyone can do their jobs. Maybe delegate each teacher to one extra function a year. Why give it to the counselor? She has an important job too, and needs an opportunity to do it!!!
