Menlo is a wonderful school. Mrs. Sloss and the teachers work so well together and always put the kids first. Upon walking into the building it is immediately apparent the 'care' that is there!

Menlo has many activities the children can participate in throughout the year. This is a great attribute for such a small school. I have two questions. Does anyone believe there should be a dress code? Am I totally out of touch? Young ladies wearing short dresses, dresses on gym days, mid-drifts with fake tattoos, long fake fingernails, children wearing no under garments with low-rise jeans or no belts with their little behind crack showing, girls doing flips with no bras. Maybe parents do not see their children going to school this way, maybe parents do not care or maybe children are heading out the door and changing clothes without parent s knowledge. The school needs to address this if the parents do not know or will not enforce without school intervention. Of course, my fifth grade son and his friends love it. The older boys on the bus like it too!
This is a wonderful school! The teachers are great and do a good job of educating the kids. The Principal, Mrs. Sloss, is also awesome and makes the kids feel welcome and part of their classroom and school. If there were one thing to improve upon it would be to watch for bullying more, sometimes it gets a bit out of hand. Keep up the great work WCV Menlo!

I was told that since my child tested 2 grade levels above the current grade that they did not have time for my child in their class. I was told to put my child on ritalin so he could 'slow down' to stay equal to the rest of the class.
