Prince Edward Middle School

I am a student at this school. I think that the school is good. Right now, I'm at the school and we are learning and doing things that will be helpful in college and later on in life. Like I said, the school is great and it's in a very good enviorment. There is alot to do so we go on lots of field trips (because we have money and we are credited) to colleges with AVID. Avid is Advancement Via Individual Determination. See, we have many organizations!! Great school.

We moved here from Alabama in July 2005. We researcched public schools very carefully due to our experiences in Alabama. Our daughter's safety was very important. We had to pull her out of public school and borrow money for private school in Alabama. My husband is a prof. so this was a hard choice .We want to support public school. We placed Chloe' in PECMS after checking state reports. We later discovered it was false. She has been punched and is constantly barrated by another student. Constant 'FU's ect. She is 10 years old!She is also a 'gifted' child. We brought her records from AL in July. It is now almost Dec. Still not in TAG. Administration will not return phone calls.VERY dissapointed.

I am a graduate of Prince Edward County Public Schools system. Begining K-4, the school is a wonderful school. Grades 5-12, I question the quality of education I received. Moving in the military, my children attended many schools. I moved back home, my children began school here at Prince Edward. I've noticed they're standards are not as high as other schools my children have attended and in the surrounding counties. I think at the middle school, falculty worry more on trying to control the students than on the quality of education our children need.
