I have read most of these reviews and I do hope that they take these reviews seriously. I too have experienced the rudeness, more so on the phone then in person. I think they need to educate and train their customer service staff to be a bit more friendly. Come on we all have bad days but lets put on our friendly face when were dealing with others. I know they have many calls, but be thankful you have a job or if they are volunteering please tell them to stay home if they are going to treat the parents with disrespect. We teach our children dignity and respect and hope and expect our school system to teach the personnel that surrounds our children during the day to also show dignity and respect. It doesn't take much to say thank you and you're welcome. A concern parent.
I have tried a number of times to contact the school counselors and teachers for various reasons and it is a challenge to say the least. Getting a return phone call or email is almost impossible. There is only one teacher from my son's team that I can say is good for the most part about responding to the emails. Following a series of phone calls and emails I finally had to go to the school in person to arrange a conference. In the conference everyone was very helpful and things happened as they should have but getting there was extremely frustrating. There is a woman that works the front office that has just been completely rude each time I have been there or called...and it's not directed at me, even when my calls are for general information and she doesnt know who I am she's rude. Frustrating school!
We moved here from Lake Mary, Fl where we were unhappy with the middle school. Kennedy has been great. They know each child and care about each child. There is no perfection in schools or life, however I have never been more impressed with the care they do have. Our child was never noticed just passed on like the rest, here you know they know and do care.
