Ballast Point Elementary has a great faculty and staff. The principal's leadership is strong, and there are great relationships with the community. The school has consistently improved the quality of its education and has had an A rating for almost a decade! My children love it. On top of it, it is a historic school with a great learning environment.

We love Ballast Point! This is a beautiful school, inside and out. The building itself is physically beautiful, with Mediterranean architecture and many wonderful details. The fenced playard is large and covered with trees, making it a great place for recess and play. The PTA is very active, and works hard to support the teachers and school programs. We love the new principal, Mrs. Frick. She's an outstanding educator and leader, down to earth, and makes it a priority to know each child and their family. I know that this school is now closed to choice due to enrollment, but if you are considering moving in this area then you will not be disappointed.
Ballast Point Elementary is an outstanding School with amazing teachers and support staff. Everyone there takes pride in the school and our community and It has been a great overall experience for my daughter and I. We look forward to the fifth grade!!

I have twin boys who attend the autism program in this school. They are 5 now and this is their third school, and it is the best school they have ever been in. Combined with private therapies, they are thriving, growing and doing exceptionally well. It is hard to get therapies in this school district, but this school, teachers and IEP team do all they can to get your child what they need. I am recognized and greeted every time I walk in, and the teachers meet with me whenever I ask. Their teacher has become a family friend. I would definitely recommend this school, especially if you have a special needs child of any type. Mrs. Frick is the principal now and she is great. She will personally walk my son to his class just because he wants her to anytime he asks.
