I have been extremely pleased with Berkley. Mrs. Velechko, our principal is an exceptional leader and educator. She knows every child by name and is very hands on. My experience with all the teachers has been very positive - they are caring, hardworking and each one creates a special learing environment based upon their own personality and teaching style. There is a wonderful focus on reading and writing which comes from the top - Mrs. V. I have also been very happy with the extra-cirr activities - book clubs, art clubs, science programs, school spirit club. We also have a professional and welcoming front office with Ms. Auerback at the helm. I know my children are receiving a wonderful, well-rounded education and are in a caring, well disciplined and respectful environment.

I had my son at this school and, at the beginning I was not very pleased with the way the teachers were handling him, on 2nd and 3rd grade, but I always had the support of the wonderful principal Mrs. V. and of the counsellor. Then in 4th grade my child met a wonderful teacher, Mr. G., he is what all teachers should be looking to become. I am very pleased overall with the school, and can't thank the Principal enough, she really cares about each one of the kids, always involved in everything, and the people office would go out of their way to help you. I love them.
