Moton is a wonderful school and best kept secret in Brooksville for those who do not know. The teachers and staff go above and beyond. The staff treats all the children like their own. Moton cares about its students, staff and community! f
I find the school was become a place of distraction for my student. The administration seem to have other interest that do not include the students. The staff seems uncomfortable. I moved my student to Brooksville Elementary.
My kids have been in this school since their kindergarten year, and we love it. Very family oriented school.. Since the new principal has come to Moton, it has turned for the better.
We moved here from an 'A' school in Tampa(mid year) several years ago. We were so supprised at how far behind we were in Tampa compared to the curriculm they had here at Moton. But the teachers and staff were always there to help. They have a wonderful parent resource center and the teachers are always ready to answer questions and help you to help your student succeed. When we first moved here I was so worried about the bad reputation this school had, But now I call it Hernando's little seceret... Moton is one of the best schools and I would recommend it to anyone. I have more than one student in attendance right now at Moton Elem. and they can't wait everyday to go to school.
