I shouldn't compare to Pasco schools where I came from, but I can't help it. There are pros and cons, but overall, I haven't been impressed with the teachers nor the extra attention each student deserves at this school. I hope it will get better. My son hates to go to school and that shouldn't be~~he use to love it!
My son went to JD Floyd for K-5 and made A's all through. He went to another school after we relocated within the county and it was a cake walk for him.. This I felt was a direct result of the high academic requirements at Floyd especially due to the Math and Envir Science programs. He is going back to Floyd for Middle school due to school choice thank goodness. This school is very vigorous in their curriculum in Envir Science and Math, not to mention a lot of hwrk. My son is very grateful he is going back. I am thankful as well because I know he will be more challanged and better prepared for high school and beyond.
All of my kids have gone to this school and i am very happy and feel safe sending my two boys to this school.And they love the school.And are very happy there. Four of my kids went here.
