Caring teachers with smaller classes.Students chosen by lottery, so all kinds of kids can go. Lots of one on one attention. Creative, intelligent, teaching.

I really love this school, although academically, I don't think they're pushing their students hard enough. A lot of kids get away with things they would never have gotten away with at a public school, although this freedom is usually used properly (getting a drink/using the restrooms without a pass), sometimes kids in my grade lie to their teachers and/or skip class and get away with it. Over all, this scool is great, although I am thinking of switching to Boynton, I'm not too concerned. This school is a great choice!

This school is a great school to learn to be more independent as you get out into the world. From personal experience, I have become more open-minded as well as more outspoken and creative. I recieve better learning than I have from the pubilc school, simply because I have been to both, my pick would be the Alternative school, Lehman Alternative Community School, this school really benefitted me for the better. Wonderful teachers and really nice students, such a comfortable enviroment where you can truly excel at what you are most interested in. They have great opportunities and electives that are never offered at the IHS. This is a democratic concentrated school with a tight community where people do care and look out for each other. I love this school with all my heart, honestly.
