I agree the rcs is a great school so long as you are not the parent of a special needs kid. I will say that Ms. Trent is the best. She cares and is so cooperative and has given my first grader a lot of reassurance in the transfer from Fl schools to here.

We moved away after my daughter's 4th grade year. One of the things we miss is this K-8 school. There are many extracurricular activities available for all ages. This is a one school school district so the Superintendent is on site at all times. Teachers are A-1, going out of their way to make sure the students meet the highest of standards. At one point this was the 4th highest ranking school in the state. School secretary is the heartbeat of this school. Children of all socioeconomic backgrounds attend and achieve, although administration seems to cater to higher income families. Parents are strongly encouraged to be an active participant in the student's education.

You need not search far in this building or this city for someone who has had a positive experience at Rogersville City School. Compared with other schools in which I have worked, this school has an extremely committed and cohesive faculty, strong administrative leadership, and supportive and involved parents who focus their personal and professional efforts on improving student achievement in all areas of their lives. The administration also prioritizes a safe and beautiful campus, and I've been impressed with the quality and accessibility of technology for students and faculty alike. This school is a gem!
