Amelia Earhart Elementary School of International Studies

The school year has just started but so far so great. My child is in the Special Day Class at AE and we are more than happy with the decision to go into this program at AE. The Teacher and Teacher Aids have been very kind and and attentive to my childs needs. I am so relieved to find such a healthy invironment for my child to learn in.

AE is a good school, the admin and staff are well above average and most importantly the parents are very involved. We have had a great 3rd grade teacher and a 5th grade teacher. Like all public schools sometimes a few teachers get 'tenure' and become 'retired on the job'. That unfortunate but a fact of life.

I have 5 children. The two older children attended a school in the same district prior to Earhart's opening. I have two children who have attended AE with great success. They have both moved on to the MYP and IB program in the high school and middle school. Both are doing excellent. My 1st grader will start at Earhart in September and I am looking forward to working with the awesome 1st grade staff. Many of them were there when my two middle kids attended. The IB program is a outstanding addition to the regular curriculum. The school has excellent staff and committed families.

I have been working continuously with school districts since 1976 and I have never experienced the lack of professionalism, lack of commitment to education and rudeness as I have experienced this past year while attempting to work with staff at Amelia Earheart Elementary
