Stop the negative comments.....Wilders is a beautiful school. That prepares us students and even helps the parents with the children. Show some appreciation please. I truly believe that the Wilders love us all. So I will be the first to stand up and say Thank you Wilders Prep. You are truly appreciated by me.... ^^^^^ Representing 8A^^^^^ **Thnx Mr. Parker (u truly care) T.D
I am a former teacher of Tender Care and Wilder's Prep and have seen the transition from private to charter.I have and still believe the vision and mission of the school. As a teacher, my expectations are high for each child that is placed in my care and it has been and still is my job/ goal to reach each student where they are so that they are MORE than capable to become self regulated learners. I am most confident that each staff member has high expectations for their students, as do Mr. and Mrs. Wilder. Mrs. Wilder has always instilled in her teachers from preschool to middle school, to find each child's talents, nurture them, and incorporate those talents and gifts into each lesson.
I think Wilder's is a good school. Yes they do changes teachers about every year, but they do that because they are trying to find the best for the us kids. At times Wilder's may get on my nerves, but you build friendships to last forever. They are trying to work on having a stable foundation. Also, everyone new about the new principle she came around April of last year and was introduced to everyone. She observed the school and students before becoming principle. Wilder's is trying with new sports such as softball, baseball, golf, and tennis. They are trying to improve and make a big change. But, either way I love Wilder's and I love the people there.

My daughter is about to attend kindergarten after attending Tender Care. We find out two weeks before school starts that there aren't enough slots for after school care. We seriously have to consider finding another school. We kept on being told that information was forthcoming about after care, but it seems it was first come, first served. Now they're saying that 'someone' from the program will be there on THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! They are very unorganized and secretive. I am very disappointed, although my son attended grades 5-6 right after the school became a charter in 2003. He did well in school, but if you can't communicate with teachers and admin., what is the point? The teacher turnover was a problem and we sent him to a Catholic school for grades 7-8. Wilder's often loses good families. I could not recommend this school to anyone.
