We have been at pathways for 3 years now, both of my children are moving on to regular school, but we have had a good experience. I am bothered by the other reviews. I think maybe people don't understand that this is a homeschool program. It is up to the parent to provide the teaching not the school. The classes are meant as a supplement. I was able to teach my kids what I wanted with tremendous support from our IST. I received any curriculum that I asked for and unlike other homeschool programs it was paid for by the school. My special needs son had a great resource specialist, much better than the school he was at before. Parents do need to realize that this is homeschool, the school is a great support and backup for the parents, plus they take care of all the tedious paperwork and such.

This school provides no standard curriculum other than a shoddy library of loaner books. There is no direct instruction of students, as required by independent study laws. Their classes are poor, the building is unclean and the administration completely unsupportive.

We are really happy with the freedom this school gives us in choosing our own educational path, the help we receive when we ask regarding curriculum, etc., and the wonderful mentors who my children have found in the classes my kids' have chosen to take. . . all very high quality experience.

I am a student at pathways charter school and if your a parent planning on sending your child to this school then you should read what i have to say about it. Pathways is a very academically hard school and the classes are very poor quality and they load you with homework. But the teachers are very nice.
