This school has done wonders for me. Over the course of three years I have broken out of my shell and learned more about myself. The sixth grade was amazing and inspires me so much, seventh grade was great too, but this year I am in eighth grade and I have never been so happy. Even if my grades aren't great or maybe I haven't done so well on the last few tests I still manage to be have deffintite school spirit because the teachers are amazing in eighth grade and who ever the two star parent was doesn't know about this amazing school like I do and should understand how great the school really is!

6th grade teachers have been terrific for my kids- trouble once they're in upper grades. Some teachers lack creativity and fail to stimulate kids- one or two don't even use textbooks- they use old State tests to teach from and dicate notes for kids to memorize. Science Fair projects not required, nor is extra credit offered to provide incentive/challenge.

More than half the 8th graders 'need help' on state tests. Teachers/administrators union too strong. Staff often times does not return calls. Students not allowed out for lunch. Many false fire alarms due to faulty alarm system. School needs major overhaul.

I have a seventh grader in this school. I am very pleased with the principal and the way the school is run. The sixth graders are treated extremely well and I feel it's a great program for starting middle school. My daughter is on the cheerleading squad for Havilland and I am pleased with all the activities they have available to them as long as grades are kept up. I am very happy with the school and it's leadership!
