A great program where a child can excel in a normal high school curriculum without being in a traditional high school setting.
This is my daughter's second year with CAVA and we could not be more pleased with the curriculum. She is challenged and is able to work at her own pace. We love the idea that she can move ahead in her classes and not have to wait for 35 or more other students who all learn the lessons at the same pace. If she is proficient in a particular lesson that day she can take the test and move on. CAVA has been a godsend to our family as well and I have heard the same thing from countless other families. Some of the influences and daily drama in the public schools was enough to make us look into other alternatives in educating our daughter. As far as the social aspect, CAVA has regular field trips and outings and there is always community sports programs and other outlets for your child.
My son started this year with CAVA at Kern. He is in 9th grade, and he is doing fantastically. He is being switched to CAVA at Los Angeles, since we live in Los Angeles, but, I am sure they are exactly the same.
