I have had 2 children at Bayshore and have found it to be an excellent, community-based school where all learning styles, interests, abilities and cultures are embraced. The 6th grade middle-school model was a big benefit to the kids in preparing them for rotating classes, locker use and different teaching styles in middle school Family involvement is encouraged and is a hallmark of this school that makes everyone feel welcome.
i absolutely love this school .. my husband and brother in law attended this school as well as our cousins and now our son is here ! he loves it and we love the teachers as well !
Not as a parent but as a student who attended this school 6 years ago, I must say it is a very educational and fun learning environment. I now live on the east coast and the schools in Anchorage are more advanced than in the lower 48. When I moved here I was ahead of the classes I was in. It is the best school and I highly recommend the Baysore community if you are looking to move to Anchorage.
This is a wonderful school. Teacher meet high standards. The quality of the academic programs is excellent. Music, art sport and others activities are part of the curriculum. This is one of the schools in Anchorage with a really high level of parent involvement.
