My husband and I have been extremely happy with South fork school.For such a small school district with so little funds they make every penny count and its all about the kids. The teachers and staff continue to amaze me ,they are so dedicated to the kids and they work so well as a team.The principle and vice principle are very approchable and are always willing to address any concerns we have. We have a special needs child who is doing exceedingly well and I give this school a great deal of credit for that,not only have they worked very hard with him but enjoy his presence and are always looking for new ways to help him learn.How many parents have had a teacher tell them that they are excited at the prospect of having your child as a student . And they always appreciate anything you do to help them. It has been obvious from the start that the bulk of staff and teachers are not here for the money but to make a difference in children's lives.We just can't say enough about how pleased we have been with this school and staff.Unfortunately what I understand about the Kern Valley High School does not impress us and is actually of great concern to us.From what I have gathered especially about the resource teacher it appears that we will be sending our children to Ridgecrest for high school.Maybe we have been spoiled by South Fork School but we just don't entrust our children to any one .
