I have worked at many schools, in the Bay Area and beyond, and while I no longer work for ICS I would happily send my own children here for their K-5 education. There have been some ups and downs in the past 3 years (2004-07) due to an administrator who was 'placed' there regardless of her (mis)alignment with the school vision. The teachers, however, remain strong, the students empathetic to a fault and ready to be pushed to the highest standards, and (thankfully) the new principal is smart, well trained, and possesses a clear school vision and the know-how to see that vision through.
