It gives underprivileged kids who want to go to college a chance to do so by offering college courses and curricula to kids who wouldn't otherwise get that opportunity.
BCHS offers students from all academic backgrounds the opportunity to earn 60+ college credit hours while completing requirements for the Distinguished Achievement high school diploma. Students receive tremendous support to help them be successful, but it should be noted that the decision to attend an early college high school should be made by the student. If a student is not willing to work very hard, this would not be the school for him/her.
