I went there and graduated with an honors diploma while at the time I developed a disability they had not seen in the school before, epilepsy, they helped make accommodations for me to be able to stay in the school and get a good education.
I think New Albany High School is not a very good school to send your child to when it comes to getting a quality education. Thyey lack equal treatment of teaching students to get a decent education based on racial gender. I feel that the staff and its administration are very bias in terms of who's trying to acheive and who's not trying to acheive an education. I reccommend that you research other schools or make a conscience decision on what school your childs attends.
I have a senior at NAHS now, and I feel she is getting a very good education. I think the same things are wrong with the school are the same things that were wrong when I went there. The lower skilled kids (not special ed), kind of fall through the cracks. They go out into the world with very few skills to offer the community.
Their idea of sport education is truly amazing and teaches life-long skills socially, affectively, cognitively and physically
