This was part of CA pilot programs to increase the Art experience of the students. We have had five of my grandchildren attend this school right from its start. Each of them benefited from the limited size & personal attention they recieved there.
I love this school. I moved my son in this school from another district. He feel in love right away. The school met what my son need. For me is not also about the school is all about my child, what he needs. My son is more comfortable in a small crowd. Some people said, this school more focus on arts than academic. For me, wherever school your child go, he/she will excel. And I saw that on my son, he was straight A's from other school district, and he's still maintain his grades on this school. And the school offer more extra curricular activities. And the teachers and staff are amazing. I want my younger son move on this school too. But it's his choice.
I loved this school! I've been to a lot of schools and the fine arts academy has been by far my favorite! I completely recommend it to anyone!
Average academics, good hands-on art activities (in many forms), but small school which may not be a blessing for girls going through puberty (very few girlfriends to choose from...this can become a problem).
