My son is in Kindergarten. So far we had a very good experience.Ms. Scornaienchi is a great teacher.The school is very safe and clean. This school deserves a better rating.
The administration and the teachers are the best in Tracy by far! The school spirit is unmatched as well.
The kids at this school treated my children as outsiders. My kids were so much happier at their old school in Hayward where everyone was friendly. My daughter told me the kids here are more into acting like they are rich than the family environment she is used to. The teachers don't seem to help in this matter much. The education is okay but nothing spectacular.
I have three children that attend Tom Hawkins Elementary and I have been pleased with their education thus far. However, I am extremely disapointed with the 2008 CST scores, expecially in the lower grades. It has dropped dramatically from 2007 results. (30% in some grades, which put it below state average. I am hopeful that Mrs. Finton will address this matter and I expect a significant increase in next years scores.
