As a grandparent raising my grandson this is my third generation of elementary schools. I have found BES to a wonderful school with caring and devoted teachers and staff. Also the guidance and encouragement to me as the Grandmother has been wonderful! The students are consistantly learning and meeting new challanges and given the resources to learn all they can in a caring environment.
For a school that consists of a large population of children from low-income families, Bunnell Elementary School is top notch. The teachers are attentative, the curriculum is engaging, and extra curricular activities in and outside the school day are awesome. How many Kindergarteners are learning Spanish? My daughter loves her education at this school, and so do I. There are plenty of opportunities for familiy involvement, and great strides are made to accomodate the working family. I just wish the school offered a general summer camp program, not that it has to or anything.
This school is of excellent quality and direction. Students are treated respectfully and teachers work hard. Administration is very involved and effective.
