It's a very diverse group of students, due to the international influence of our local university. The teachers work hard to bring exciting programs and field trips to the kids.

We absolutely love this school, & our daughter does too. As much as she would love to live closer to our families (800 miles away), she's always quick to add, 'But if we move, can we do it after the 4th grade so I can still go to Rock Prairie?' The staff is amazing, & the principal is wonderful. For a school of its size, I have to say that it feels more like 'family' than the much-smaller school I attended as a child. Parental involvement is outstanding, & the variety of programs offered at this level is amazing. I honestly can't say enough nice things about this school!
We love rock prairie!! The teaching staff is excellent with a nice blend of new energetic teachers and some of the most experienced in the district. There is a nice gardening program that donates food to a local charity. The GT teacher is great and has programs that include a variety of children. The music program is excellent, headed by one of the best teachers in the district. The new principal is very experienced and does a great job. He is a principal that the children are fond of, not afraid of. The only negative experience we've had there is that the vice principal doesn't have good skills for working with children. I can't believe the way I hear her speak to them. She needs to be replaced. Other than that, we love Rock Prairie.
