It is a wonderful school. My son went there. Our neighborhood children go there. They have a wonderful PTA.

Quality of teachers varies in this school (older instructors are very good). If you have a child who is having difficulty keeping up with the pace, don't expect individualized care. Supposedly no child is being left behind, but elementary school should be a place where the emotional needs and well-being are paramount...this is not emphasized/prioritized at RD Head. A lot of good people work there, but the staff are handicapped by the screwy curriculum and lack of common sense when it comes to disciplining the children. Our child has had repeated trips to the principals office (traumatic) for reasons that were dubious or petty. We are not fans of the administration there. Good luck.

From the perspective of those from Georgia, i am sure it seems to be a wonderful school. To those of us educated in states ranking far above Georgia in National Ratings, it is clear that this is a substandard educational setting. Everyone is so busy patting themselves on the back, perhaps the truth is just too difficult to face. My children were not happy there and knew they were missing out on opportunities. They, both goal-orientated ,were worried about their academic futures and thought the gifted program was a joke. We moved so they could be in better schools and immediately the improvement was obvious. we were told such great things, but now I can see tht is by people who accept a lower standard.
