Amazing to read such a negative review. My son graduated in 2005 and my niece is currently in the tenth grade at NHS and loves it. Last year at a basketball game I ran into my son's senior year math teacher who told me that seven NEW kids had just been placed in his class...all from the $15K a year private school across the street, a result of the bad economy. He shared that none of these transferring kids were up to speed in math and really had to play catch up. We did not expect teachers or counselors to do parenting of our kids...we did that ourselves. When we were involved with NHS, the counseling was great, and I never had a problem getting an appointment. My brother and sister in law don't have any complaints, and they could afford private school!

My child just graduated from Norcross High, class of 2009. This school has done nothing but turn for the worst within the past four years. The schools administration is all talk no action. They constantly threaten students with disciplinary action and turn around and don't do a thing. Kids are constantly roaming the hallways and these are upperclassmen! They talk to teachers and administrators any way they want as if they're friends. This school went from a descent well know school to a ghetto cry for help. Its not even about the school being mostly black, they just simply do not care. I wouldn't recommend this school to a soul until they turn themselves back around.

The average rating only has to do with the administration and counselors at the school. It takes two or three weeks to contact or get a call back about any issue. Our children were promoted to NHS from a feeder middle school; the set schedules were all messed up and it took several weeks to even get a response. One counseler even said he had 1,000 students and didn't have time to discuss the issue.
