I had hoped that Central Gwinnett was going to be a good experience for my son. Unfortunately, for the past two years it has not been. The staff and leaders have handled personal situations unprofessionally. There is little effort in response to concerns and complaints made in regards to staff behaviors. Good students have suffered because of this, mine included. I have chosen to remove my student from this school his third year. I have had to go above and beyond the leadership to have unresolved issues dealt with because of the lack of support the staff and it's leaders have shown us.

Central gwinnett is a wonderful school. The principal is a outstanding role model for a variety of people. My daughter became the fastest runner as a freshmen on the Girls Track Team.

Central is only okay. Many of the harder courses are led by teachers who do not seem to know much about their subjects. The bright kids do a lot of figuring things out on their own because the teachers are of no or little help. Some teachers simply assign massive amounts of 'book work' and then test with no classroom discussion or analysis, a result, I think, of an inability to really teach a subject they may have been assigned to teach by default. That said, many of the extracurricular activities are outstanding, both fine arts and athletic.
