Side Creek Elementary School

My two girls have been there for 2 years now. Last years teacher was great we truly miss her, but this year I find my daughter not wanting to go to school because she is not being challenged enough. Also the front desk staff is very rude. Everytime I have called in for whatever reason they always seem to have bad comment to say. Its horrible and we will not be returning to this school next year.

I will be leaving because of a move and I'm sad to go. I have a 2nd & 3rd grader. They have been there since kindergarten. I have had great experiences there. The new principal has done great things for the school. I was surprised the rating wasn't higher. I highly recommend this school. I especially like the class set ups.

All schools have their strengths and weaknesses. I think you can determine for yourself how your experience in any situation will be. I have found the teachers and staff at Side Creek to be very cooperative in communicating with me. My second child is finishing up 4th grade this month. We have had our challenges over the years and by keeping the communication lines open with the staff, we have turned the challenges into positive experiences for everyone.

The new principal has alot to contend with and is doing a great job trying to implement some changes for the better. I do agree with the comments of the parent posted earlier that some of the staff there are rude to parents and kids. I have voiced my concerns and the principal has assured me there would be some changes made. I have some adjusting to do with the rules, like our children not being able to play on the playground before or after school. It is still only the first month of school for my twin kindergarteners. I will evaluate again soon.
