I have been so happy with Nativity BVM. my daughter started in 4K and I can't say enough good things about the 4k teachers Marie and Lorena. My daughter will be well prepared for kindergarden. Her handwriting is wonderful, she can count to 100 in English and at least 25 in Spanish, she knows most of her phonics and is right on the verge of reading. Sister Mary Jo the principal is also top notch...she runs a tight ship and is strict, but she expects all the kids (even the 4 yr olds) to take responsibilty for their actions. She is loved by the chilren and commands respect. I recommend Nativity to anyone who asks. I am having a hard time keeping my review under 150 words!

All 3 of my children have attended Nativity. They attended 2 schools prior to attending Nativity due to job moves. This school is fantastic. Sister Mary Jo is a wonderful principal. There are many extra activities throughout the year which my children enjoy, such as plays, family reading night and family picnics to name a few. The A.R. reading program, art, choir, girl scouts, computers, band and violin lessons give students a variety of experiences throughout the year. The physical educaton program is outstanding. The most important aspect of this school is the wonderful Christian atmosphere which my children get to be a part of on a daily basis.

My daughter started at nativity in pre-k 4 and is doing wonderfully! our goal for her for the year was to learn all her letters and their corresponding sounds and to be able to count to 25. She is not even half way through the year and she has already read several words, can count to thirty in english and spanish and is doing great with social skills, and many other important issues. The teachers really pay attention to every kid and the principal, sister mary jo, knows every single kid by name. The before and after school care is outstanding. My daughter gives me a dirty look every time i come to pick her up! there is none of the snobbery & rudenss that i have heard from sooo many people exists in other coast private schools. Great for military families! your child will fit in and love school!
We attended another Catholic school in Gulfport before and Nativity is hands down The Best! Sr. Mary Jo is an amazing principal. There isn't a bad teacher, and the ciriculum is very challenging. The cost is also affordable especially if you are a member of the church. I can't say enough good things about this school. I hope to keep this school around forever. Definately an asset to the Diocese and the city of Biloxi.
