I just moved to LIC from the UWS and my child has been attending Little Ones for several months. Being familiar with a lot of the preschool programs in the city as well as in Brooklyn, I would have to agree that the facilities and the student teacher ratio are positives. However, compared to some of the schools that I've visited, I feel that this school is weak in one important area...child development. They are great at implementing programs to keep the kids engaged and busy but what they lack is the flexibility to help each individual child learn and develop. Every child is different but the school does not seem to understand that in their teaching approach. I think Little Ones needs some competition in the neighborhood. They have been a monopoly and you know what you get with that.

I think this is one of the best preschools in the City. The staff is very professional and warm, the space is light and airy. There are lots of different areas and activities for the kids to play in, including a mirrored studio for music and dance. There is a high teacher to student ratio, which makes it easier to leave your toddler there, knowing they are getting enough attention. My only small complaint is they are open 8-5:30 for extended hours. If they were open to 6 it would much better accommodate parents who work 9-5. Normal hours are 9-2. Kids can go full time, M/W/F or T/Th (mine goes 2 full days). Can't recommend this place highly enough.
