Mrs. Dunlap is a great teacher! Good motivator and very inuitive. Difficulty is that students only have 45 minutes per week with the teacher. During this time they are orally quized on all of the material covered, whiich can be a lot.

I graduated from Templeton Independent two years ago; I had a very good experience and enjoyed the self-motivation I had to develop--it has become very useful in college. My only complaint is the lack of extracurricular activities, that you must find on your own. The school does try to coordinate with their main highschool to allow for this but often it does not work out well in terms of scheduling. I also found that I had a more difficult time being accepted to colleges (mostly private were applied to) largely because the colleges did not understand the format of the school. Often times independent study courses are aimed at delinquents, and not at over-achievers or students who wish to progress more quickly. It's important in the college application process to include a statement which explains the format of the school and its history.
