Vance Middle School is a wonderful, caring, highly motivating Middle School and my child was very successful. We moved from out of State not knowing what we would find. The teachers were challenging but caring. The Choral Music Teacher Mrs. Bays is superior to any music teacher we were ever exposed to up State. My child was successful and felt very much a part of the school communtiy. Many extra curricular activites were also available. And fun activities. We would highly recommend this school.
I have had 3 daughters attend Vance with no regrets. We have been very pleased. The children not only receive an excellent education, but an emphasis is placed on being an upstanding citizen. also athletics are very fair, and students are once again taught to respect others.
Excellent school primary focus on student and very good in recognizing problem areas and working with students. Treat all kids alike with equal opportunities in sports, academics etc.
My child attended Blountville Middle school and was in low c classes and the teachers seemed more interested in extra curr. activities and sports not education we transfered her to Vance she is on honor roll and attended the state science fair where she placed 4th. She loves school now and tries to attend even if ill. The emphasis is on the student and giving confidence and teaching leadership. Student Council is emphasised as is all areas of citizenship. The dicisipline is excellent and I feel very fortunate we have such a school in our area. My childs Tcap scores jumped so much in transfering we could hardly believe. She gets attention for problem areas and the teacher sticks with it until the issues are resolved. I have high praise for the princ. and staff. I wish we had more dedicated individuals as these working with our youth in every school.
