We still may go private once our sons are in Jr High, but Futral Rd. rocks. We were really skeptical before we went, but principal Jones really does care for these kids. We can move anywhere in Spalding as long as it's in Futral Rd. That was from my wife too!
My daughter started Pre-k at Futral Road and is now in 1st grade. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the transition was for her when she first started being that I stayed at home with her up until then. The teachers have been wonderful...they show so much love and care and are accepting of me coming by on a regular basis. Mrs.Tweedell,Redding,Macdowell, and now Hogan have just been GREAT! Principal Jones is also wonderful! Everytime my daughter sees him, whether it be at school functions or in the public, she always has to give him a hug! He really seems to enjoy the kids and is such a friendly person! I look forward to the many years that will follow having my daughter and eventually my son attending Futral Road School!
My daughter started Futral Road Elementary towards the latter part of the school year, but I have to say it has been the most pleasant and smooth experience of all the years she has been in school. Ms. Benefield and the Futral Road staff made her transition very comfortable, and made me feel comfortable. The staff are very interested in the students well-being, future, knows their stuff, and take the time to actually make sure that they are being properly taught. GO FUTRAL ROAD ELEMENTARY! I have another daughter and a son that will be starting there in this up and coming school year and we are so very excited and ready for them to begin this school of EXCELLENCY! -Betreace A. Moss
