I can't say enough good things about Abess. My daughter went to Abess from K-5 then to Landmark 6-8 in Honors Academy. She has been accepted into Paxon IB program for high school not just because she is smart but because she was given the academic background she needed to become successful. My other daughter is in 5th now & will be going to Landmark Honors again with the great training from Abess. They have many rewards in place for students that excel in one way or another - academics, attendance, sports, behavior, etc. Last, but not least, they do not tolerate disruptive and poorly behaved students. You can be assured that if there is a safety issue or a child that disupts the class, they will be sent to the office so it does not take away from the other students learning.

My child attended ABESS Park from K-2nd grade until we moved. I was very dissapointed in the way he was treated along with many other students. The teachers seem to want to have an easy day. They are approachable sometimes, but most of the time rude. The cafeteria, well your child is treated like they are in boot camp. They are talked down to and made to feel like nothing. I know this first hand because I have been there and eaten with him at lunchtime many times. For the few that are pleasant, they are a blessing. (Mrs. Conaway, Ms. Jackie). I am glad we are no longer in this school. My child is doing very well and thriving in the new school. Children should be able to be themselves and not feel that they are a problem, afterall is that not what the teachers are getting paid to do.
The ESE teachers at Abess Park are wonderful! Thank you Mrs. Walker for making learning for my daughter fun and exciting! The ESE teacher worked extremely hard to make sure that my child's needs were meet! Great school!
