My daughter has been a student at Varnett Charter School since Pre- K 3. I can honestly say that Mrs. Hines is a great teacher and I wished she would have moved to Pre- K 4. Varnett, needs to work on improving there staff starting with the attitudes. My daughters teacher now was hired on Tuesday and school started on Wednesday this year and needless to say she was very unorganized and still is. Students were being moved to other teachers classes because of her and when I addressed to the new director Ms. Gray, I was told that wasnt a option. Open house was very unorganized, the director is all about the money I see.

I still think Varnett is a good school, but they need some extracurricular activites to offer the kids, every school needs that. I also think that some of the attitudes in the staff could change for the better i've heard some staff members talk very ignorantly to those little kids, so that should be address so they can separate the good teachers from the bad. I love the security they have. I also think that the school uniforms should change b/c every parent doesn't have 20+ to spend on a shirt especially when asking for money throughout the beginning of the school semester until the end, so the uniform shirts could definitely change.

This school does not provide any extracurricular activities for the students. There test scores are not the best.
