Two grand nieces have graduated from North Salem High and another niece is a freshman this year and in 4 years a nephew will be going there. For a low income area, they have had some outstanding teachers, their graduating class last year had numerous 4 point students also the music teacher is outstanding.

I have only great things to say about North Salem. As a former student, I have seen first hand all the wonderful things that North has to offer. It was generally clique-free as most students were friends with everyone, and the parent and teacher support was amazing. Though the school lacks in athletics, it is still an excellent environment to learn and perform-- the arts are one of the schools best areas! I couldnt have asked for a better high school experience.

North is generally thought of as a school with many gangs. In the community it is viewed as a bad school. However if you go to North and actually see the school first hand it is one of the best schools in the district. It has quality teachers and great opportunities for the students. The students and teachers are the nicest and most welcoming in the district. The school gives students a chance to prepare for their future by helping them gain experience in the fields they are interested in. Although the sports teams are not the best in the league the fans and students are the most supportive. The teachers are amazing focusing attention on the students. The staff cares about the students getting a great education.
