WC is one of the better schools when it comes to student clicks and confrontations. With the exception of a few student more arrogant than others. Many of the teachers care about the students and are willing to help. However this school as with all due to state regulations fail to have a true understanding of the word 'education' It is not that the students are not being taught rather what they are being taught.

My son has attended West County since Kindergarden. We have also been able to talk with teachers or principal anytime we felt there was an issue with good results. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The principal is kind, fair and knows each student by name. Our son had a atv accident which left him paraplegic. We could not ask for a school, teachers or students to have been any better than they have been. They have made a bad situtation as best as possible. We can not say enough good about West County Schools. They truly are concerned with the students. We don't feel there is any school that would have been so concerned in our sons well being. We are forever grateful to the faculity and students.

As a graduate of West County H.S. class of 2000, I can say that my education experience there was excellent. No complaints. The staff was wonderful, the teachers were friendly, and the education they gave to me was one that went beyond what you learn in a textbook. It was about real life. The teachers/staff treated me more like a friend than just another student in the class. If there was ever a problem, I knew there was always someone there to help me, no nmatter what the situation was. I was always addressed by my first name rather that some student ID number (Which I don't even know what that was). This is the one and only school that I want my children to go to when they start kindergarten.

I transfered to WC in the middle of my Senior year. The Counsilor tried to convince me to move back home by putting me in all freshman classes with the same few teachers over and over again thoruogh the day. Also, they told me at first that I couldnt enroll. After a week of talking to them and the Superintendent I went in and was told I had 5 absences, for the days they wouldnt let me come, which put me in the red zone of absenteeism, and that I would be kicked out upon missing another hour. WC not only discouraged me taking upper level classes, they told me to drop out when I complained about being put in freshmen classes. I had been taking 7 hours of college level/credit classes before I went there.
