Kings Road Elementary School

We are new to the area and have a second grader and a Kindergartener at KRS, and we couldn't be happier!! Our children love their teachers and have been very happy here. The classes are very small, the student teacher ratio in our daughters class is 8 to 1 in the second grade and 6 to 1 in Kindergarten - we paid for private schools prior to our move and didn't have nearly that ratio!! While I agree that the aesthetic appeal may be lacking - their is certainly no lack of qualified, dedicated teachers and staff at KRS!!

Kings Road Elementary was a huge disappointment .It needs TLC-speakers in the gym hang from the walls & TV carts/other junk in the hall reflect neglect. The curriculum has not been updated.The area has huge amounts of money & parental resources that for some reason are untapped. The teachers range from great to terrible. I feel some leadership from on high should spend more time in the class to give this school a much needed update. If I could choose again we would have moved to another part of Madison.

Ok..it's a year or more later, and my son no longer attends Kings Road School. King's Road gives your child an environment conducive to learning. If you are fortunate enough to live in the district, I would highly recommend this school. After moving, I am distressed at what has become of my child's education, and I hope the foundation he received at KRS will carry him for the next 6 months, until he can be placed elsewhere.

My child attends Kings Road now, and is in special services. The classroom size is small, and the student-teacher ratio is not to be beat. I cannot thank the teachers and administrators enough for providing a wonderful environment for my child.
