I recently graduated from this school and I found it to be in dire need of new management. The faculty is entirely unsupportive of students with learning disabilities, and leaves you on your own to cope with the struggles of high school. The extremely small size of the school leads to no variety or flexibility in course load, so if you go off the typical track your schedule will be in ruins (I ended up with 3 study halls my senior year, which did not please me). Some of the teachers are absolutely awful, showing blatant favoritism, ignoring requests for help, and occasionally throwing away curriculum completely and allowing their class to become a chaotic free-for-all. While there is a core of dedicated, responsible teachers, the general low quality of the staff and lack of structure from the administration causes the standard of education to fall drastically low.

A great, small newly renovated highschool (2005)with excellent, caring teachers and less than 300 students...brand new athletic fields/track in picturesque surroundings with lakes and a babbling brook, the students and families will enjoy sports even more than before. Brand new fitness center that Booster Club raised over $25,000 to equip. Excellent drama and music department w/2 plays a year; 'Godspell' coming up next weekend. Did I mention that the well-loved and regarded principal, Bob Hale, was awarded '2006 CT Principal of the Year'? We moved here from New Canaan, CT 6 years ago and have no regrets; wonderful school in a very special seaside town.
