I was skeptic about transferring my child over to this school, because we had moved. I had my child in a very good school over at Cedar Valley Elementary and have only heard negative things about Timber Ridge Elementary and didn t really want to go on what everyone else is saying about the school until I see for myself. Well the school year has started and I can truly say that I should have listen to what the other parents was saying. The front office staff is very unfriendly and not helpful at all. I have left repeated message at the office to be passed on and it seems like nothing gets done, or it s a different story each time you call to inquire about a situation. I really wish I would have kelp my child over at Cedar Valley, because this school sucks so far.
This morning my husband, while at work recieved a phone call informing him that there would be an Awards Ceremony that morning and that my son would be receiving two awards. This is indictive of what we have experienced with this school. There is little to no effective communication between this school and parents. The front office personnel are extremely unreliable when it comes to getting accurate and timely information out to parents and are not helpful when you visit the school. The staff seems to not be familiar with their own procedures and often waste your time trying to figure out what needs to be done when questions or requests are given to them. Repeated requests are usually handled different each time you address the staff. And to top it all off, the staff is rude most of the time. Wish my kids did not have to attend this school.
My son is in kindergarten at Timber Ridge and myself and my husband are military. We are also Christians and raise our children to live the same Christian lifestyle. I was very adamant about moving my son when a few pitfalls happened at Timber Ridge with other students. After praying about it, God led me to let him remain at Timber Ridge. Since then, I have had very little to no problems. Overall, Timber Ridge is a very advanced school compared to other places in the area, including some of the Christian private schools. Thanks Timber Ridge for your spirit of family and nurturing. It will definitely be needed in the months to come as both myself and my husband deploys.
